Homathko River Inn

Besides running a Ranch and Country Inn, I'm also the local school bus driver. When one lives in the country, one must be able to have hobbies to pass the long winter months. My passion is painting, as well as a jewelry making. We have built an Art Studio / Gallery, where I have hosted workshops.
My partner, Rudy (an accomplished carpenter, saw my vision and ran with it) renovated the ranch house into what it is today, and years to come. The Inn would not be open for business with out the love, and support of my family.
My oldest daughter Bobidaia helps with the trail rides, works with the guests and their horses, and runs horse training workshops during the summer months. And as a proud parent, I have to proudly say, she was the 2011-2012 Williams Lake Stampede Princess, and was the first woman to win the famous 'Williams Lake Stampede Mountain race'.
My son Aaron (when he is not upgrading his electrical skills) is an excellent hiking/ biking guide. Helps with the fencing, haying, clearing trails and keeping the wood shed full, a never ending job.
My youngest daughter Anna now calls Switzerland home with her husband Mirco.
My children' grandparents are legendary Alf and Gerry Bracewell. Alf being one of the bulldozer operators that- from the Anahim Lake side- carved out the 'Freedom Road' to Bella Coola. Gerry Bracewell ' first Woman Guide Outfitter of British Columbia, and daughter- in- law to first pioneer rancher of Tatlayoko, KB Moore'. **We have a video of building 'The Freedom Highway'.
And my parents Les and Colleen Harris moved into the valley in 1968, raised 6 kids and to this day, are still ranching the homestead, with the help of my younger brother Troy his wife Sabina and their 2 little girls.
About Us

The Homathko River Inn and Circle X Ranch is located 2- 1/2 hours west of Williams Lake on Highway #20. Once you reach the junction of Tatlayoko Lake and Tatla Lake. There turn south and drive about 25- 30 minutes. Follow the hydro poles until you reach hydro pole #294. A sign saying 'Homathko River Inn' will welcome you. We are about one minute off the road.

~DINING @ THE INN ~
The Inn has added a little restaurant called "The Wagon Wheel". Where we offer breakfast and lunch menus, with just the right seasoning, and a splash of 'Chilcotin Hospitality'. Our Dinners are served Family Ranch Style (all you can eat).
We have become world renowned for our amazing 'Sunday Brunches'. Come and experience Dining at its best.
